Ever wanted to measure your business or household carbon footprint but not known where to start? Try our free carbon footprinting tool called ACE. Just download it from our website, enter data monthly, and monitor the emissions as they are calculated and displayed month on month over the year. Many of you already use ACE (over 600 downloads since 2006) and the feedback from users has been very positive.

We use this feedback to continually improve the Excel based tool, and a new function has been added to allow users to select their reporting period from one of four options. We have also updated the emission factors behind the tool calculations. The latest version, ACE 2011, is available now and can be downloaded here.

By measuring your carbon footprint you can determine the impact your business (or household) is having on the environment, a good first step to becoming more sustainable. Once your baseline emissions have been calculated with ACE, reduction targets can be set and progress towards meeting them measured. Additional information can be found on our website and a new webpage with Frequently Asked Questions can be viewed here.

We are proud of ACE. Fonterra, Scion, Livestock Improvement Corporation, Comvita, Kiwibank, Beca, Charlies and various councils, use or have used it. The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) also uses ACE and it is available from their website as well.
