ASP Access Floors

ASP Access Floors manufactures, sells, and installs raised access flooring into commercial buildings, ranging from libraries to data centres to commercial office towers. Since 2012 we have worked with ASP on a number of projects. It all began when they needed to measure and offset the carbon footprint of over 300,000 m2 of floors going into the newly constructed International Towers in Barangaroo on Sydney’s waterfront.

Since then we have prepared and registered an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for their main flooring system, and are currently working on a second EPD. We have also assisted with the development of Green Star and LEED credit self-declarations.

Tourism Holdings Ltd

Our work with thl started with scoping and measuring their base year carbon footprint. No mean feat given they are a global company with a number of business units that include motorhome retail and rentals, motorhome app development, guided caving experiences and tourist coach services. Operating in dozens of sites across four countries we provided them with a tailored tool that could process, calculate and report carbon data by business unit and by site.

Support with their carbon management plan is ongoing. More recently we have been assisting with their sustainability strategy and sustainability report. From stakeholder engagement to materiality assessment to ensuring their report is GRI compliant, we help out where needed. It’s been a great working relationship and we look forward to continuing the journey with them.

Zespri

Our working relationship with Zespri goes back to 2010 when we undertook a life cycle carbon footprint assessment of kiwifruit packaging from manufacture to disposal across all parts of the supply chain. Other work includes an assessment of the environmental performance of alternative packaging materials, a review of waste across the industry and investigation into more sustainable waste disposal practices.

Currently we are working with Zespri and technology experts on a project that examines the current environmental footprint of kiwifruit cool stores and will recommend designs for optimal cool stores for the future, as the industry manages increased fruit volumes.

“When ASP began working with Catalyst in 2012 on the Barangaroo International Towers Carbon Footprint project, we couldn’t have anticipated the incredible impact that this project would have. Now 6 years later, our company’s environmental initiatives, aided by Catalyst, are a core focus in the company's business plan. ASP Access Floors is striving to set the market standard environmentally across the globe. “

Angela Zlater, ASP Access Floors PTY Ltd

“Catalyst has proven to be the agile, knowledgeable partner that we need in areas of sustainability we don’t have in-house skills or resource for. They have added great value, and we are grateful for their continued partnership”.
